that's a wrap.

American Eagle coat, Abercrombie & Fitch jeans, Timberland boots, Merona wrap, TJ Maxx gloves

I hope you are all surviving this winter better than I am. The cold is just not my thing. As I count down the days until 50 degree temps return, I make going outside a bit more enjoyable by loading up on fun accessories. This headwrap is one of those those cool, yet practical pieces. I love how it keeps my ears and neck warm at the same time. Plus, it matches with most of my wardrobe.

Sturdy boots are also a must for trudging through the never-ending snowstorms. I love these brown ones because they are much sleeker than other winter boots. They are also lined with a fleecy, furry material, which is a huge bonus. All in all, while winter is definitely not my favorite season, it's not all that bad sartorially speaking.

garlic and parmigiano artichokes.

I have been obsessed with artichokes for as long as I can remember. I'll eat them straight out of the jar, on pizza, in pasta, or stuffed with seasoned breadcrumbs and garlic. It's all delicious to me. Recently I made a delicious artichoke and I thought I would share the recipe.

Ingredients: 1 artichoke, EVOO, 3 cloves garlic, parmigiano reggiano

Directions; Boil artichoke in a pot of water for 20-30 minutes. Cut in half and place in a frying pan at medium-high heat. Cook for another 10 minutes. Remove artichokes from pan and quickly fry up garlic. Drizzle oil and garlic over plated artichokes. Grate cheese on top. Enjoy!

dark winter days.

American Eagle jacket, TJ Maxx shirt, H&M pants, Converse shoes, H&M scarf, Nine West gloves

These past few days have been rough weather-wise. It refuses to stop snowing, which means I refuse to stop drinking tea and watching Netflix. That's not necessarily a bad thing, except for the fact that I'm moving through Gossip Girl much more quickly than I would like.

As for the outfit, I've been on a bit of a blacks streak lately. I can't get enough of this biker jacket from AEO. I paired it with my fave black pants from H&M. They have some seriously cool details, like zipper pockets, knee patches, and ankle zips. Love 'em. I wrapped things up (pun intended) with this amazing skull scarf I found at an H&M in Italy. It's so gorgeous.

Hair-wise, now that this mess is growing out a bit (or a lot, as you'll see from this post), I've been having fun playing around with different styles. My favorite at the moment is a deep part and a braid. It looks edgy and makes my hair seem even thicker than it already is. I added a slightly smokey eye and a berry lip and I was good to go!
